Faith and Favoritism

When you have a big ego but lack compassion, it often becomes evident in how you treat others. This is what we call the sin of snobbery. It occurs when we start making distinctions and evaluating people based on shallow criteria like their wealth, status, race, or age. James challenges us to reconsider this behavior.

But here's the twist: his challenge isn't to completely stop favoring certain individuals, but rather to extend kindness to everyone. We have a role model who showed us how to do that, and we have a source of power to help us achieve it: the instruction to "love others as you love yourself."
